The BBCs Bitesize Daily has been developed by the BBC to provide new lessons every weekday for pupils in year 1 to year 10. Created in collaboration with teachers and educational experts, its videos and interactive activities cover core subjects and other topics on the school curriculum.

Oak National Academy:

Schools/parents might also consider using resources from Oak National Academy, which was created by teachers from schools across England in response to school closures. This free resource for teachers will provide the equivalent of 3 hours of lessons a day for primary school pupils and 4 hours a day for secondary across a variety of subjects. Lessons have been created by practising teachers, combining videos, quizzes and worksheets.

Parents can download the pack, which provides guidance and videos to share should you want to use Oak as part of your remote education plans. Packs are available for primary, secondary and specialist schools, and include the full Oak curriculum (until the end of the summer term).

The Learning Zone (Oxford University Museum of Natural History website) - covers animals, fossils, insects, minerals, rocks.

Adaptive Learning for Key Stage 2 (Atom Learning website) - interactive online lessons for children aged 8-12. Covers English, Maths, Verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. Free during the period of school closures.

Classroom Secrets Kids website - platform for learning grammar, punctuation, spelling, maths, reading history (years 1-6).

Doorway online website - collection of interactive literacy games and numeracy activities.

Emile website - online program for 4-12 year olds that covers the UK national primary curriculum for numeracy and GPS with some phonics thrown in (free access currently).

Emotional ABCs website - teach children ages 4-11, how to figure out what they are feeling, why they are having that emotion, and how to make better choices.

Mind Up website - designed to help children develop an understanding of their brain, emotions and actions. The activities help build their focus and awareness, and form positive relationships with others.
