The British Council’s ‘CONNECTING CLASSROOMS’ Project: PAKISTAN

In 2008, Waverley School embarked upon a 3 year partnership with several schools in Bhit Shah Province in Sindh, Pakistan. The UK partnership included Calthorpe Special School and Hill West Primary School in Birmingham. Our Pakistani partner schools are The City’s School in Bhit Shah, The Government Girls’ School in Hala, The Government Boys School in Matiari, The Government Middle School in Nizamani and The District of Hyderabad Government Special School .

Work included student video conferencing, visits by Mr Hanif and Mr Healey to Pakistan and two visits from teachers in Bhit Shah to the UK. Please visit Youtube ‘When Brummies met sindhis’ to see four short programmes broadcast nationally by dawn news to see further details of the project.

The ICT Department have continued working with our partner Schools in a project called XXX with Year 7.

We hope to collaborate further with our Partner Schools in the near future.
