Vision

At Waverley School we aim to develop confident, well-prepared individuals who know what they want from their future and how to achieve it.

Strategic Objectives

1. Develop students knowledge of career pathways.

2. Develop student’s employability skills.

Information

Waverley School provides a comprehensive careers programme to support our students to make informed options and career choices and to achieve their potential.

Students also take part in work experience for one week when they are in Year 10 and Year 12.

The Careers Lead and Careers Advisor is Ms Razia Satti, for across the trust. A whole Trust approach is undertaken across all Key Stages to meet statutory requirements.

Student Work Experience is commissioned externally and Kathy Higgott works on Tuesdays and Wednesdays providing careers ‘first point of contact and diagnosis’; plus, support with application forms, interviews and CVs. She also arranges careers interview appointments for students.

Kathy is available at break and lunchtimes (on specified work days).
